Have you ever struggled with holding on to your faith when times are difficult for you ?

Yes, it happens to most of us! But what you’re going to read ahead in this article will surely help you learn how to hold on to your faith & carry it through out of your life with diligence & confidence.

Trusting the Words of Quran

After thoroughly researching, Umma India brings for you a simple analysis of multiple Quranic verses that will increase your Tawakkul (Trust in Allah), and help you navigate through your worldly affairs, living by faith everyday.

Let’s begin with Surah Al- Mulk, which, in our humble opinion, is a yardstick for understanding Tawakkul (complete Trust).

When you read Surah Al-Mulk which is the 67th chapter of the Quran with an english name – ‘The Sovereignty’, you find a very clear message underlying it- “To Allah belong all that is in the universe and nothing would happen without His Mercy and constant watchful care”.

In another blessed verse of the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty promises: “And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah, Sufficient is He for him, for Allah will surely accomplish His Purpose: For verily, Allah has appointed for all things a due proportion.” Surat At-Talaq (verse 3)

In this lofty Islamic teaching, believers are reminded to have faith in Allah, and trust that Allah will take care of them no matter the situation.

There are multiple instances in the Qur’an where Allah ascribes subsistence, and as well as complete reliance solely upon Him.

Here’s how you can increase your Tawakkul & Live by faith everyday?

  1. Develop a strong relationship with Allah (SWT): To live by faith, you need to strengthen your connection with Allah (SWT) by engaging in regular acts of worship, such as Salah (prayer), recitation of the Quran, and Dhikr (remembrance of Allah). These acts will help you stay connected with Allah and increase your faith in Him.
  2. Be grateful: Living by faith involves being grateful for everything that Allah (SWT) has given us. We should acknowledge the blessings that we have been bestowed upon us and express our gratitude through prayer and good deeds.
  3. Seek knowledge: To strengthen our faith, we need to seek knowledge about Islam, its principles, and teachings. The Quran and Hadith are the primary sources of knowledge that can help us deepen our understanding of Islam.
  4. Trust in Allah’s plan: It is essential to have trust in Allah’s plan, even if it does not align with our desires or expectations. Allah (SWT) knows what is best for us, and we should trust Him to guide us in the right direction.
  5. Be patient: Faith requires patience and perseverance. We may face trials and tribulations in life, but we must remain patient and steadfast in our belief in Allah (SWT).
  6. Follow the Sunnah: Following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) is an integral part of living by faith. We should strive to emulate his character, conduct, and teachings in our daily lives.
  7. Help others: To Live by Faith also involves helping others and being kind to them. We should strive to serve humanity, be compassionate, and extend a helping hand to those in need.

Benefits of Placing Complete Trust

  • Becoming more patient
  • Learning to rejoice in any situation
  • Inner peace and tranquility
  • Protection from fear
  • Relief from stress
  • Relying more on Almighty’s strength, instead of your own
  • Realizing Allah is really all you need

Faith is an essential component of many religious and spiritual practices, often defined as a belief in something greater than oneself. It is the foundation upon which many people build their relationship with God (Allah), and it can provide strength and comfort during difficult times.

One of the many challenges of having a complete faith is the realization that we may not always understand God’s plans or the reasons for the challenges we face.

However, even in those moments, faith encourages us to trust in the Almighty’s wisdom and guidance, knowing that He has a greater plan for our lives.

It is through faith that we can find meaning and purpose, even when we don’t understand the path ahead.
